Elderly care home developer and operator Dunham Care, part of McGoff Group Projects, has recently acquired a site on Alderley Road, currently occupied by Travis Perkins and a local car wash business, for a new purpose-built care facility.

Following its recent procurement of planning consent, Dunham Care is making plans to commence redevelopment as soon as possible, following a full demolition of all buildings on site.

Helping to address the need for more quality care facilities in the local area, Cheshire East Council approved plans to transform the prominent and under-utilised brownfield site.

The Dunham Care team will seek to make appointments for more than 90 local jobs, with the project making a number of positive contributions to the local economy whilst also relieving pressures on local NHS and GP services via its inherent interventionist approach.

Once complete, the development will be aesthetically pleasing, featuring natural materials, mature trees and landscaping that serve to enhance the street scene and it will result in less heavy goods vehicles on an already busy junction just outside of Wilmslow’s town centre.

The development will be built to the highest clinical standards and will also be highly sustainable and energy efficient with excellent environmental credentials including PV, heat pumps, high performance insulation, EV charge points, SUDS drainage together with green walls.

Wilmslow is one of six superb new facilities currently under development by Dunham Care. The build programme for all new homes is being managed by sister company McGoff Construction Ltd, working closely with C Squared Architects, Garner Town Planning and Beyond Corporate.
